PCR Panel Testing
We begin with highly sensitive PCR-based testing, targeting the specific pathogens most commonly associated with the patient’s symptoms. Using advanced multiplex PCR technology, we rapidly detect bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic organisms across specialized panels including UTI, Respiratory, GI, STI, and Wound. This first step delivers fast, definitive identification of known pathogens—often within hours—helping clinicians initiate or adjust treatment early.

MALDI-TOF Testing –
Broad Organism Identification
For more comprehensive organism profiling, we utilize MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry. This technology allows us to analyze and identify over 300 additional organisms with high precision. Whether a rare or unexpected pathogen is present, this step enhances diagnostic confidence by expanding the spectrum of detection beyond standard PCR panels—capturing co-infections and less common agents that could impact treatment decisions.

Antibiotic Susceptibility Testing – Precision Therapy Guidance
Once pathogens are identified, we perform detailed antibiotic susceptibility testing, including detection of resistance genes and real-world antimicrobial performance data. Our results provide clinicians with clear, timely insights into which antibiotics are most effective against the identified organisms—supporting targeted therapy, reducing resistance risks, and improving patient outcomes.

UTI Testing Panel
At Healix Diagnostics, our advanced UTI PCR panel is designed to deliver fast, accurate identification of the most clinically relevant urinary pathogens—providing actionable insights that support timely, effective treatment decisions.
Our UTI panel accurately detects a wide range of pathogens, including Acinetobacter baumannii, Enterobacter spp., Morganella morganii, Kingella kingae, Enterococcus faecalis, Enterococcus faecium, Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus agalactiae, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus spp., Candida spp., and Staphylococcus aureus (mecA/mecC). Add a UA for enhanced diagnostic insight. Each panel also screens nearly 400 organisms via MALDI-TOF and includes patient-specific antibiotic sensitivities when indicated for precise treatment.

Our GI testing panel offers rapid, accurate detection of a wide range of gastrointestinal pathogens—including bacteria (Salmonella, Campylobacter, C. difficile, E. coli strains, Shigella, Vibrio), viruses (Norovirus, Rotavirus A, Adenovirus F40/41, Sapovirus, Astrovirus), and parasites (Giardia lamblia, Entamoeba histolytica, Cryptosporidium).

Our STI testing panel is available via urine or swab collection, offering flexibility based on patient needs and clinical presentation.
Our STI testing panel offers fast, accurate detection of common sexually transmitted infections using urine or swab samples. Pathogens tested include Chlamydia trachomatis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Trichomonas vaginalis, Candida spp. (including C. glabrata and C. krusei), and markers of bacterial vaginosis.

Our wound panels are designed to identify a broad spectrum of both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria with speed and precision.

While helpful, biograms offer a broad view and don't account for the specific resistance profile of an individual patient’s infection.
